Compliance

The term “compliance” is understood to mean adherence to all laws, regulations and directives, as well as contractual obligations and voluntarily agreed undertakings. Accordingly, not only breaches of the law, but also actions that contravene regulations issued by the company itself, such as the articles of association, partnership agreement, rules of procedure, internal guidelines and rules of conduct of the company or of the group, are to be regarded as compliance-related matters.

Whistleblower System

The EU Directive on the protection of persons who report breaches of Union law (“EU Directive on Whistleblowing”) entered into force in December 2021 and has been implemented by the Whistleblower Protection Act. In accordance with the EU Directive, the Act provides for the establishment of a confidential reporting office for breaches of EU law.
