WT Wien Ticket GmbH was founded on 01.01.2005 as a subsidiary of VBW-cultural management and event GesmbH, Wiener Stadthalle - Betriebs- und Verwaltungs GmbH and the Wien Holding GmbH and has become one of the biggest ticket sellers in Austria within few years.

WT Wien Ticket GmbH provides various services to ticket outlets and event organizers in the areas of ticketing, CRM, access control and event marketing.

The Wien Ticket call center opens 365 days a year from 8 A.M to 8 P.M and is available by phone number 01/58885. Tickets are also available at Wien Ticket´s outlet at the Pavillon near Staatsoper, 1010 Vienna, Herbert von Karajan Platz, online at www.wien-ticket.at as well as at one of over 100 Wien Ticket partners in Austria.

Today WT Wien Ticket GmbH offers innovative and flexible services and handles the ticket sale for Vereinigten Bühnen Wien, Wiener Stadthalle group,  planet.tt at Gasometer, SK Rapid Wien, the Vienna Capitals, the Vienna Jazz Festival, the Kultursommer Stockerau,  the Twin City Liner between Vienna and Bratislava, the Vienna Mozart House, the House of Music, the Art House Vienna and for a variety of other event organizers and venues.

In 2005, the total ticket sales was administered for the Ice Hockey World Championship in Vienna and Innsbruck with a total of 330,000 tickets over Wien Ticket.

Wien Ticket has been an exclusive ticket partner for the two sold-out  Robbie Williams shows in 2006 at Vienna's Ernst Happel Stadium and ticket partner of the Vienna Mozart Year.

The biggest event for which tickets sold in 2008 was the first Madonna concert in Austria on the Danube Island. Wien Ticket was exclusively contracted for the ticket sales and implemented the electronic access control. 60,000 enthusiastic fans watched the show as part of the "Sticky & Sweet" tour.

2009 Wien Ticket handled the Haydn year and provided service to the Circus Roncalli.

Wien Ticket was exclusive ticketing partner for the Handball EURO 2010 with a total sale of more than 270,000 tickets and also implemented electronic access controls at all 5 event sites in Austria. In addition Wien Ticket handled the entire ticket management for the UEFA Europa League matches of SK Rapid Wien in the Ernst Happel Stadium with all three matches sold out.

2011, besides the operating business the entire ticketing management of some major events were successfully handled, for example the Davis Cup Austria vs. France in the spectacular venue airplane hangar 3 at Vienna International airport and the Volleyball European Championship in Vienna and Innsbruck.

In August 2012 Wien Ticket has launched a new ticket portal at the newly acquired premium URL "ticket.at" in order to expand business into the Austria-wide market. Wien Ticket extended its range as Wien Ticket was granted contract for events in the new concert hall of the Vienna Boys' Choir in Augarten. Wien Ticket was exclusive ticketing partner of the Wiener Wiesn festival, which was attended by over 100,000 cheerful guests.

Today Wien Tickets covers the areas of rock / pop, musicals, cabaret, show, family, Classical / Opera, Theatre / Dance, Pop, Sport and exhibitions.
